Interesting, as I got a L.S.D. with as little power as 170bhp and 280lb.ft and it made the car, alot faster, so much so my mate in his vRS which was 'about' as quick, got pwned big styleee, by around 6 or so car lenghs as he had to let off the power? I dont.... So I could use 170bhp and 280lb.ft all the time, not just on a straight in 4th+

However now a days, 230bhp and 375lb.ft can be used ;) and I love to pwn WRX STi's :D

FMIC - £500-£600
Uprated Turbo - £1000
Turbo back exhaust - £350
Uprated cluch - £600
Another remap - £350? - might be cheaper if going back to same place again.

88k miles is sweet f*** all! Mines just turned around 80k and is just getting going! :D

With just:

FMIC - £500-£600
Uprated Turbo - £1000
Turbo back exhaust - £350
Uprated cluch - £600
Another remap - £350?

done I think you will be looking at 220bhp, or therabouts. To be pushing into the mid 200s you need to be considering a straight through zorst, uprated injectors, maybe a "special cam", and perhaps an investment in an even better turbo.

Ok cheers mate,

It's just my powerdelivery can be abit boring sometimes, it's only had a cc remap - i would guess 180bhp 280ftp ... and sometimes don't think it's that fast...

185 & 312lbs of torque doesnt seem fast anymore, only every now n then... im thinking LSD would make a big improvement though, although its not BHP - COST effective as a big turbo would be... it maybe a first move me thinks. Afterall if Tspark was getting sub 15's on the quatermile with 170ish bhp surely thats type r eating material on its own :d

That was also pre-LSD

My van has identical 1/4 trap speed (99,3mph) so that means we should have identical power to weight ratio. How heavy is your car?

I lose on E/T badly (14,53s) because I have no traction (60f 2,37s). No LSD on the driver or the van...

PS. reaction time is irrelevant here as it has nothing to do with E/T. Just in case everybody didn't know...

Assuming no stripping out was done, you're looking at 1300kg. Shadow? Your van is nearly 2 tons isn't it? (just read the sig now :D)

1980kg on scale. 1300kg with 230hp means 350hp on my van with the same power to weight ratio.

I'm just trying to guess my van's max. hp as the dyno I'm using can't keep the pressure up in the high rev area.

I have 226bhp and 375lb.ft however the car is a tad lighter than book figure, maybe around 1150-1200KG's

Im taking it to my local weight bridge in the near future id imagine.

I let a friend take my car down there, with the ATB LSD, but without me and he ran a similar time to you

However terminal was down alot, 97mph. He also busted a side engine mount on launch, so that was the last run of the day!

What power output do you have? As 2000KG's as a damn site more than mine will weight!
