Tool for gearbox drain and level/fill plugs

Hello everyone.My car is an Altea TDI Sport 140 (manual 6 speed).
I have just looked at removing the gearbox plugs for an oil change but it seems a special tool is required...can anyone help me as to what it is,please?

is it a 12 point spline? if so LASER Tools do one but better if you can borrow one for a one off job, where are you someone may help

Yes it is the 12 spline job and I have found and bought one today,only £7 so not too bad I advise everyone to check their oil level,mine was down.

that was a good price, as I keep my cars I like to change the oil at approx15-20K then just top up as required, amazing what comes out, I guess "they" don't care once it's out of warranty
