i have tryed a search jst before we start and didnt find much.....

Right im having problems with the battery fuse box in particular the fuse that controls the aircon and the engine fan water pump, its the one closest to the passengers wing......

around 2years ago my cars engine temp rose right up in a q of traffic i later found that the fuse had blown causing the fan not to come in, i replaced this with the specified 30A fuse and that was that, but since then i have been wary of it and kept trying the a/c to make sure its all working fine and only twice iv had to have to give the fuse a little wiggle so that the fan will come in (as if its not sitting right)

but today i had a flat battery which with a boost fired up lovely, but whilst looking around the engine bay at the fuses i noticed it wasnt sitting right so gave it a pull, it wouldnt come out and had to be pulled out with a pliers after looking at the fuse it looked as if the bottom of it had melted and, where you plug the fuse into has also melted slightley, i have replaced the fuse but as its currentley in my garage i cant start it agin to make sure its working!!

and with nobody in my hosue at the moment no car to bump it off i cant start it to check!

now have anyone else had these problems where its melted or caused problems before? im worried about this now as i dont want my car catching fire!!!!

should i replace the whole fuse box or is it something further afield causing the problems

thanks
