noise on cold start on FR

guys i have just bought an fr 2nd hand and when you do a cold start it makes a weird noise when u turn the key, it only happens until the car starts just for a few seconds, is this the cambelt ?

took it to the garage i always use and they reckon its the starter motor, something to do with a spring sticking in the solenoid?
i will be taking it back in a few weeks to the place i got it from as i have 2 months warranty parts and labour
