Low Boost EML Light (PD130) Help Please

Hi Guys,

The EML light has come on on my dash , but for all intensive purposes the car does seem to be driving normally with the exception of a slightly less boost.

Now im not sure if the boost thing is psychological, but it doest seem to pull as well anymore, and the engine doesnt sound as smooth as it did.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated as im not mechanicaly minded or even better if someone has VAG COM in the Maidenhead Berkshire / Buckinghamshire area that could help diagnose the fault that would be even better

The engine management light is constantly on

No probs, luckily ive found someone with vag com, ill post the results on monday...

Ok so a friend from work has just ran VAG COM on my car, he is gonna email the exact fault code over to me tommorow but the fault was....

Glow Plug fault on cylinder 1.

we have cleared the light but it came straight back on again a couple of miles down the road.

Does anybody know if this is an easy fix ? im guessing parts will be required ?

I have very little mechanical knowledge but on the plus side i do have a Haynes manual and a small tool box

Ok so here's the VAG COM fault code not sure if its athe actual glowplug itself ??

Cool cheers stew ! Hmm interesting, i just got the part from my local parts store (£8.20 bargain). If its not too dark by the time i get home ill do it tonight.

Ok so its taken me a while to get round to doing it (lack of tools) but ive just replaced the glow plug on cylinder 1 and the car does seem to be starting alot smother, problem is the engine management light is still on

Is the light supposed to clear its self our do i need to get VAGCOM on the car again

One more thing im sorry i feel embarrassed for asking this... but the cylinders are they numbered from left to right (looking from the front on the car?)
