Help Needed! Fans on Constantly!

Hi

I like a lot of people on here have been suffering from the slow speed fan failure so I decided to finally do the resistor mod. Anyway I followed the guide(s), pretty straightforward although very fiddly but all seemed well. However after having switched the ignition on I now have both fans on constantly. Even after switching the car off both fans are still running.

This is baffling me somewhat as like I say, I followed the guide and there are only four wires that need splicing into so I can't see how I could have got that wrong?

I immediately disconnected the battery as I didn't want to drain it so unless the fans stay on for a few minutes after you switch the ignition off, I'm struggling to see what the problem might be?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Regards

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you only splice 2 wires (1 on each fan) the other 2 are cut and joined from the car side to the resistor (I think that makes sense)

Did you use this

Matt.

Sorry this is what I meant, I cut the white/red wire and connected it to one side of the resistor and the other side I spliced into the black/red wire. Unless you put one side from one resistor into one plug and the other side into the other plug? Clutching at straws now really!
