basically i hae been told my car is running leaner than expected and on the most recent rolling road done 2 weeks ago it pulled 217bhp and 270lbs of torque, since then i have put a neuspeed p-flow induction kit on it changed the MAF and reset the ECU using vag com.

No fault codes come up at all car feels fast but not as fast as it used to be

MAF is about 10g/sec down with 1000 rpms to go (Cleaned your P-Flow recently?), N75 looks okay, actual boost is meeting requested, but requested looks too low to me.

Have you got your own SPS3? Are you sure it's on B6?

If it was too lean/excessively lean you would have a DTC and a light on, surely. Have you logged A/F?

see this where the different version of that code comes into play basically in order for me to request 1.5bar of boost i need to use my sps3 and put the boost on 9. I am 100% certain its on boost 6 at the moment.

I think the version of the code i have is a less aggressive one and i think kev agreed with me, in order for me to see high boost levels i have to turn the settings right up to get them. Unlike on my older version of the code were boost 6 woud request about 1.45 to 1.5 bar.

how do you log a/f

But Kev told me over the Phone that you weren't running a different version of the code, perhaps just version 1. When I had version 1, the boost settings and requested boost were no different to the version 2 code (I don't think).

If you do somehow have a different version of the code and "only" requesting 1.4 bar, then 217 bhp still seems a little low (should make that on 0.8 bar) but it shouldn't be a surprise that lower boost = lower power. Put it on 9 and log it again.

You'd best ring Revo and speak to Kev - you need to sort out/get clear what version of the code you're running.

Well, it flippin' might do - if you over did it on the day, the car could well have pulled back, 217 bhp is neear stock power which might mean that the car was in limp mode (0.5 bar) or soft limp (0.8bar)...

I went up to revo earlier this year and they put a different code on my car i saw them do it with the laptop i just dont now what one it is, like you say i guess i will have to give them a ring

It would be worth asking their opinion on what the low requested boost might be down to - I know there's some other "stuff" that you can log to do with load that they understand.

If you offer chocolate biscuits, they might even offer to look at your logs.

180 g/sec at 5,500 is not bad. People that quote 190-210 are quoting maximum, at 6,800 (or what ever it is). I can lay my hands on any logs at the minute, but do a search and have a look at what g/sec other people pull at 5,500.

I'd be more worried about why your requested boost is low.

OK so as I see it you have two choices.....

First;-
Take the results of your logs, carry out the suggestions of forum members and by a process of elimination track down your fault.....add new parts and re-test, check for boost leaks under load (tricky) and retest etc etc etc. This process could take a while but if you have the time it should work.

Second;-
Book you car in at a reputable VAG specialist with a rolling road, hand them the keys and let them get on with doing their job.

If they are a Revo agent let them liaise with Revo.....it may cost you £100 or something but you get what you pay for.

e.g. CoxW was diagnosed a while back with £1000+ worth of dead turbo by a SEAT dealer, a morning at Stealth and a bill for considerably less and voila the problem was fixed.......

ok well i will give boost 9 a go and see if the requested goes up to 1.5 bar which i have no doubt it will. Then all i will have a problem with is am i running lean yes or no if yes why (think i will get JKM to look at that one) and why is my g/sec low if it stays low on boost 9 will log now and let you know what happens
