Spare Key - SEAT Cupra.net

Unlocked my stylance with the spare key the other day as i couldnt find the remote control key.

When i did, i got in to find the cd's i was after and the alarm went off!

I couldnt find a way to make it go off - even started the car! Had to root around the house finding the remote key while the alarm was beeping away!

Is this correct or should it have turned the alarm off?!

I used the spare key and then opened the passenger door and the alarm went off. when I turned the ignition off, the alarm went off on mine. did you try locking the car again?

no i locked it with the remote key

seems odd that if i had really lost the main key that i would not be able to turn off the alarm!

My current ibiza's alarm also goes off when using the spare, turning the ignition did stop it though.

For the spare key, you've got to open the car and then put it in the ignition and turn the ignition to the final position (don't think you need to start the car, just until all the dash lights come on etc), you need to do this within, I think it's 30 seconds or the alarm goes off.

If the alarm goes off apart from using main key I don't know how to turn the alarm off.
