Cupra tdi mpg

On a 150 mile trip on the motorway I struggled to get over 40mpg. I was doing between 80-90. By the end of the journey the computer recorded an average of 40.1mpg. I have never really seen above 45mpg even sitting for ages at 70. Its got a remap and full milltek. Do you guys go by the average on the trip. I realise that this builds up as the journey goes on. Do you lot reset your computer before each journey. What mpg do people get at around 80ish.

Thanks

Do you get that aveage straight away after a few miles or does it gradually build up and peak at 46-48.

i got 54 mpg doing a 260 mile trip at about 70-75.. for my commute to work (20 miles) i get about 47-50 doing 80

Pretty good really, tho my old 1.9 sport with a remap would do about 5mpg more in both situations... Cupras much more fun tho

Is that what the little computer told you?

If you work it out, it often tells another story. You must of been getting just under 600 miles to your tank Rash!

i got an average in the high 50's when i travelled the length of the M5 and back a month ago!
sure i didn't drop below 90 there and back! (thats degrees celcius )

usually really good on the motorway cruising, its the 17 mile A422 to work that really saps the MPG!

i have a heavy right foot addicted to torque!

FR TDI no remap (yet...) I usually only get about 360-380miles to a tank of derv.
But then I deliver pizza's (36-40mpg) at the weekend and drive to uni (38-47mpg depending on traffic) during the week so its either stop/start or in round the town over speed bumps.

And whenever I get out towards home I can usually knock 5-10mpg off the average.

I rekon mine gives best mpg between 50-60mph under steady driving, have seen up to 60mpg, doing that! Tend to get bored pretty quickly tho, best I usually manage is just over 400 miles to a tank, have seen as low as 300 miles tho, when been seriously abusing it!
