Fitting speakers to the audioleads rings/adapters

I've got these speaker adapters ... audioleads ones I think (moulded black plastic rings about 2" deep) but they didn't come with any fixings

How in the hell do people fix speakers to them ?? I can imagine I'll be able to use some captive nuts to mount them to the inner door-skin (although I'm not convinced they'll be very secure) but the plastic seems too thick to do the same with the speakers.

Advice (and/or pictures) very much appreciated
