look mummy theres an aeroplane up in the sky

its a cross between a Lancaster bomber and a spitfire banking left and slowing down.coming from the front end.
its bye bye to my second wheel bearing in 2 years isn't it? i can feel the vibration through the pedals as i slow the car down, and sounds worse doing so.deffo not exhaust or turbo related as far as i can hear.
i hate cars. fixing this is a tenth of a full susser.

anyone with a leon or similar, had this problem.checked the wheel bearings this morning (jack up and try and rock from top to bottom),doesn't seem to be anything underneath out of place.
took the car out for a test drive this morning and it appears at around 40+ mph as a low droning noise.ease off the gas and it gets louder, brake and it gets slightly louder. what does a warped disc sound like? can a wheel bearing still be worn out without showing any play?
can't think why a disc could be warped,it's not exactly driven hard that often.
i just don't want to give to a garage for them to spend half a day looking for the problem,if its something i can sort.

funny how things change when your sat in the passenger seat.just been out with local mechanic,he drove and almost instantly diagnosed a wheel bearing.
and i have to agree.
30 quid for the bearing+ labour.booked in tuesday. you can feel it through the footwell and its much louder/more apparent in the passenger side.
thing that annoys me,its the same nearside one that went 2 years ago.

Mine did this when braking etc. just after I bought the car and they put new tyres on the front and this sorted it. I've got it again now and guess what, my front tyres need doing....
