Mmmmm Shiney!

Just had my black LCR detailed today... Wow!

Didn't realise how grubby it had gotten, I would like to say a big thanks to Paul (REG) for today. After nearly 9 hours of hard work, he's managed to get rid of all the swirls or scratches, I've just seen it under a streetlight (a good test) and it's really nice and shiney.

Managed a couple of snaps with my phone late this afternoon, but disappointly "sunny" Bournemouth wasn't sunny !?

I'll post some better pics later in the week, with my proper camera and hopefully some sunshine.

They were better shots than I managed! Got a few good ones of some defects, will post them up later. Glad you're pleased with the result Neil, it was good to meet you - even if I did utterly confound your team as to why/what I was doing all day!

Very nice! Pictures manage to show off the quality of the work well, but do try and get some if the weather improves!

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I didn't get loads of photo's that day, I was more intent on getting it done because I knew Neil was keen to get away from work.

However, I did get these:

A few swirls here and there, the car looked quite grey:

Middle section has been polished, outer section hasn't, yo ucan see the difference in clarity:

50/50 shot:

A before and after:

Lovely clear reflection:

My goodness Neil, what a shiny rear you have!

That looks amazing, it's always nice to see a 50/50 shot of just what the paint came from. i'd really love someone to say they can achieve that level of correction by hand in a reasonable time

Lots of people could say it, but it would be a load of BS! That paint was really quite bad. There was a great big scatch on the bonnet, nearly top to bottom in the middle section. I didn't get a photo that it can be seen in ( I blame being in the shadows!), but I got 95% of it out, so Neil was very pleased with that.

i've only done 3 cars so far properly, however i'll never tire of the owners reaction when they see it start to shine like it never did even from new The freakiest thing is looking at a dusty dirty car that still has amazing reflections and a deep shine clearly visible through the muck and dust.

Black is fantastic for things like this, as when it's bad it's obviously bad... but when it's great it's bloody amazing!

I've just done a 2000 mile/3 month old Lotus Europa S today, dark blue. I couldn't believe the state of it, and its all down to the dealer having had it back in to fix a few problems, the 'valeting' it for the owner. I'd put some pictures up but I'm suddenly having problems with photobucket.
