Guys and girls i know this has come up b4 as i have done a search but i cant
seem to unlock my unit. i waited an hour untill 2000 appears and then entered my code and pressed prog but it then reverts back to safe mode Why does system even have a code? i would never steal a standard system its rubbish. Anyways is my code wrong and if so can dealers unlock it?? ive been with no music for 2 days now its so annoying!

Sounds to me like you are putting in the wrong code? Have you had to enter the code before? Im sure the dealer could sort it but if yours are anything like mine i would only go to them as a last resort.

no never entered it b4 i was pissin around with stations pressed prog thinking this is how to store them and locked out safe appeared

i done the same thing once. if you have left it long enough for safe to clear and 2000 to come up i would say your code is wrong but to be honest i dont really know about this kind of thing. you could pop in to the dealers or give them a call im sure they can sort it.

just on a different subject, What is your splitter like? how much noise dose it make?

My split r sounds great ive turned it 18 turns clockwise and there i seem to get boost noise all the way to redline and lovely blow off noise any time after 2500 revs. i lift off throttle quickly and heads turn. i love it!

oh and mine is not remapped its standard even my induction kit is not the best
will change to dynatwist or carbonio soon to make it even louder i guess

Hi ian thanks for that i think i have read that post b4. I have tryed everything code then prog, prog then code nothing seems to work! Its pis*ing me off i want to listen to kiss on my way to work on weekdays i miss my timberland album.

Have you tried turning the radio on & leaving it for an hour or so, then going back to enter the code...i did have this problem with my radio & the solution was posted on another seat forum thats now closed...i just cant remember how i fixed it...

You'll need to go back to the dealer if you've not got a code - or to an ICE specialist (who are wayyyyy better - if not more expensive - than Halfords)

Dealers these days are insisting you bring the car in for "security" purposes and costs range from £10 (Scunthorpe) to £30+ VAT (Grimsby).

I paid £20 and just accepted it as it was my own damned stupidity in the first place.

You have to leave it for like an hour. Enter the code then push or hold down prog button.

I like the way they dont tell you all you need to know in the manual!!

yes guys looks like i will be going to the dealers and they will charge me 30 quid for something which should easily be for free. after all its not my fault the previous owner didnt update the code in the manual. Oh well i cant wait till pay day to get my pioneer dvd/cd player so guess its dealer time for me. thanks peeps.

tell me about it Dan! Anyways Dan did you get yourself a split R dump yet? They are really cool not chavy at all just loud enough wid out annoying anyone. Oh and what remap did you choose to get over 200bhp?

No split r yet mate, just things im adding to my list of wants!! Well i had a remap at reddot racing. My leon is the 20VT sport APP engine. I got 204 BHP and 200 torque, Its not as much as you would get from the AUQ engine but its good enough for me. I could of got better figures from other maps but reddot was only £250

Oh well to be honest i dont really know what my engine is im pretty new to engines just read and learn really but i have done all my own mods except for the dog bone mount. Well what engine would mine be its the cupra 02 180bhp

AUQ im sure! it has a better turbo. If you look in the engine bay on the left of the big lump you should see something with AUQ stamped on it. If i had knowen a bit more before i bought my car i would have looked for a AUQ but I love my car what ever it is and for me it has enough speed!

Okay will check tomorrow curious now not that it matters coz like you said they are fast enough cars arent they? I will be getting a remap after i order my supersprint exhaust at the end of the month. Cant wait till pay day!

I want about 210bhp and 240lbs torque at least then more as we go on
