Question Subaru Impreza WRX ?

Has they really improved the front of the impreza wrx ?

Despite these being a nice colour, it just doesn't look right and for the first time ever i thought the oval badge made it look like a deformed mondeo.

Then again i suppose i'd be buying it for it's performance, and not the looks.

I've got to say and I've thought this all along...

The new car looks no better than the last despite all the claims by the Journalists....

The front air Dam is more old school Hyundai!!

the black one looks like a sea lion thats just getting b*ggered by a Sperm Whale!!

I personally think it's a big improvement over the bug-eye.

Although I wish they'd change the crap rear spoiler

I know what you mean, the spoiler sucks big time, RB5 one looks great IMHO, although the PD one is nice too.

Nah i've finally decided it's the 22BWRC one that's best or is it the STi5 - damn just when i thought i'd decided as well like the TSL and PD ones but in a single piece.

Well it sounds like a much improved car - better handling, engine and (important) interior too. I don't miss the bug eye look one iota But it's the image i have the problem with..
However, if you own a 22b your cool in my book

If you are going to get a new shape 'preza, then make sure you get an STi, WRX is hopeless now they have softened it off 'cause you can get the STi officially in the UK. For just under £20k i'd get a Focus RS, std WRX doesn't see which way an RS went round any test track i've tried them on. And on the road the wrx has such poor body control and lift off oversteer it's sh*te in the wet!

Personnaly i would only have one of the original ones, pref a P1 but maybe an RB5.

The RB5 just came with the MY99 mid-level one. The WR Sport was the one with the big Prodrive puppy on the back as well as the PPP and a little logo on the speedo. There was a group buy on Scoobynet recently for the WR sport wing at £395 painted. I'd sold mine by then though.

The classic Scooby is the only true Scooby, but image, cost of ownership, age and build quality all count heavily against it nowadays.

The RB5WR (or just a chipped one, mine had a Scoobysport exhaust and an ECUTek TEK2 until I made it standard to sell on) or the P1 are the ultimate. The 22B was too much for the road in the UK, and it just is not worth the money even today.

In the very unlikely event I had another it would be a wagon however. Preferably an import in Steel Blue (RB5 colour) that I could put Speedlines and RB5door graphics on for a laugh

I think the front looks like a Daewoo/hyundai, much prefered the older one as it was more aggressive. however i do prefer the side and rear of the new one

Where did you take the pictures of the Subaru Leo Lion R? If I'm not very much mistaken its Adam's garage in Aylesbury? Do you live in/near Aylesbury?

I did think that the new shape was an improvment over the bug eye but after having seen those pictures i have to say it actually looks worse:eek:

It does look better in STi tim but it still doesn't compare to the original. And i'm no fan of the scooby in all honesty. Subaru don't seem to understand how to make a car just look good. I'm more of an Evo fan myself.

I have actually seen a modded bug eye that looked cool as it has the WRC kit and extensive mods to the bug eyes.

Speaking of the Evo, has anybody got any more photos of the Evo 8???
