Right then boys and girls, so it started with a quick turbo change to a k03s which soon became a k04 conversion. i then saw the garrett light and went for the gt28rs. that when bang so im now on route to '1.9 20vt GT3071R'

i picked up an audi tt engine with 15,000 miles and pulled it apart to make way for machining work. all of my internals have turned up (bottom end anyway) so i can advance with my progress:funk:

All the engine parts have turned up this weekend and have ruined my xmas as there is no way i can recieve a present even half as good as what i got in this parcel.

Thats the way, no feckin about, get right back in there. I'm sure you've gained a huge amount of knowledge from the last project that can be applied to this one.
The question has to be asked has this been done on a ibiza?
What figures are you expecting?
Good luck bud, looking forward to reading the process

Liking those pistons. You went for the fully coated items then.

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

im not sure if its been done in an ibiza before. i hope it hasnt. a big reason for changing from the gt28rs was because once i started to do the conversion, everyone else started doin the same and i wanted to be different.

i dont think many people are stupid enough to do what im doing :)

going external waste gate because an internal gate will struggle with 450BHP
i will have much more control with and external wastegate

sorry to burst your bubble.. There's a Gt30 ibiza around, for last 2+ years, externally gated etc etc etc

517bhp internally gated on mine...... once ported it copes. - there's not magic 450bhp number to require external gate from internal..

Hooch

Where did you order your parts from and how long for delivery??

I presume US??

I've been looking at Piston Rods etc from Bildon Motorsport........set of Wossner's Piston/Rods are well priced.

How much did you pay for the JE Piston's and Pauter Rods??
