Help needed: RE- Replacement head unit

The girlfriend has just bought a 2005 Ibiza. I am trying to fit her old Sony headunit in it, but I can't find which wiring harness adaptor is needed to do this anywhere!

Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I don't think this is Ibiza Specific as it uses standard ISO connectors.

Try a local ICE store, or halfords they tend to sell looms for various headunits.

Thanks for that, yes I realised last night that it is just a standard ISO connector. So it fitted straight onto the Sony's wiring harness. Now why can't all car manufacturers just use the standard ISO connections! It's make life so much easier.

Thanks again.

does that mean your now sorted with this mate????

was going to say in my old sport no looms were required as Sony aftermarket head units just clipped straight into seats wiring loom. Had trouble when i changed make to Panasonic i think it was. But even then a loom kit for about £8 from halfords soon tweaked that problem.

Yes all fixed up now, had to move the CD player to the bottom slot, and put the tray thing in the top one though, because of the weird looking gap otherwise! GF is happy now.

the head unit should fit in the top din. i thought mine wouldn't but if you pull out the tray from the middle you can adjust the wires down the gap and stick the tray back in the middle after the head unit is in place. Only minor fact is that the dash is rounded so the hu will look like it's sunk into the console.

this is my personal opinion but I have seen radios fitted in the middle din and makes the centre console look awkward...this is how mine looks now http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=163837

Thumbs up

No, everything is std. I took this picture in the evening and in Night Shot mode so it does brighten up the colours slightly, but the hu matches the car's dash perfectly. It has dual zone colour schemes so will fit into any car practically (along with custom colour selection where you can make a default colour slightly different)

my HU was in the top slot from the factory and when I fitted my alpine one I fitted it in the bottom slot, looks and fits way better and I can use the cup holder and fiddle with the HU buttons at the same time
