Parking At Silverstone -- Display Area Etc

We have been given 35 car parking spaces at Silverstone to display our cars.

You will notice on the back of your tickets that they have been marked "A" or "B"

"A" denotes that you are to park in the display area (SEAT vehicles only)

"B" denotes you are to park in the normal Silverstone parking areas

It has been confirmed that the display area will be on Tarmac. I have no other information at this time regarding how you actually get to the display area, so keep an eye on this thread for further information.

To get to the infield for "A"...

go through the main gate. Then at the t-junction or mini roundabout after this, you turn right and go to the right of the flesh coloured grandstand. You then turn left and go over the bridge. From there on in will be dependent on where the parking is.

I've got a valet booked this lunchtime,

Shaggy - they'll let me in with the Audi badges still on the wheels?

Parking for display area confirmed

Enter the circuit via entrance West 5, a member of SEAT staff will check reg nos against those provided (a paper pass will be issued to get into the infield to those on the list, all other cars need to follow the signs for car parks).

Proceed to next gate where you'll be directed over the bridge, at the roundabout turn left, over another bridge, before mini-roundabout turn left onto fenced tarmac area by the medical centre.

The cars not in the display area, are we/they meeting at any specific part of the main car park.

It would be good to try and get us all together to park and meet-up, albeit outside.

Nope, not as far as I know. I guess it will be a point of getting the first available space.

I would imagine (others confirm?) that the car parks will be not very full, so we should have room to all meet together. Maybe whack a few pointers up. :dunno:

I've been there on raceday's before and the carparks are rammed

you'll be directed to somewhere to park (first available)

so I wouldn't expect the parking marshalls will let you park where you fancy - even the grass car parks on the other side of the road maybe used - but i doubt it - so they'll be closed.

OK.

I was basing my thinking on the F3 at Rockingham last year where there was acres of car park space left, thought Silverstone may be the same for F3.

don't get me wrong - there is loads of parking, but from a logistics POV they will fill the fewest number of car parks possible - starting with teh two large tarmac ones.

could be any of about a dozen car parks around ss. It will be quite a big meet as is the 50th BRDC anniversary meeting plus a bank holiday, so I think it will be busy

If everyone tries to meet up with convoys etc then there is a better chance of all getting together.
