leaking boot

hi guys ,ive noticed over the last few weeks that my boot is leaking water with all the heavy rain,after a heavy rain fall ehen i open the boot water seems to pour out of the boot trim when i open it and the whole of my boot is wet,no wonder my central locking for the boot dosent work,anybody know what i need to do to fix this problem,thanks in advance

Seal the rear window. Mine was doing this. SEAT put a new rear window in under warranty, then i found it was leaking. :@

Took the trim off the boot, got someone to wet the back end and see where the water was going in. Then seal it up.

cheers mate sounds like it could be the seal,what kind of sealant should i use and where about should i apply it

You should apply it where it's leaking.

And also there is proper windscreen sealent you can buy. I dont know if you have a Hickley Valtone or Hex Holdings up your way? But they'd sell it.

took the plunge and removed the boot trim today,managed to get it off without causing to much damage,what a ballache,the water appears to be leaking in through the lock mechanism,i was also hoping ild get to the bottom of my boot not locking/unlocking with remote but everything looks ok to me ,there dosent appear to be any power to the mechanism cellenoid thingy when i use the remote,i guess its a trip to the garage unless anybody can help,cheers guys
