what should i get... leon or ibiza

hello fellow seat lovers.

im new to this site, and im wondering what would be better to get as ive been told mixed views or the leon and ibiza.

been told the ibiza handles terrible, ive got a soft spot for the ibiza though... but ive had excellent handling cars in the past, should i be cautious or not, as ibiza mayby a let down or even the leon. im in a dielemma.

any ideas?

cheers dan.

it doesn't handle badly, but it can be made to handle better

Out of the box the Leon handles slightly better with wider track & wider tyres

It depends what you're comparing against really

ive had a stripped 106 gti, what was excellent around the bends.. im looking for something that i can do a track day or two aswell in.
im looking for a cupra by the way, i am planning with mod's like coilovers either way.

cupra wont have a patch on the 106 ,

do a search a few members have come from the 106 to the cupra and the power would eat a 106 but the pug will handle as though it's on rails,

awaits another big debate!

As Mork said, out the box the leon may be slightly better in the corners due to wider tracking. However on a decent set of coilovers or spring/damper combo and some uprated arb's, the handling on both a leon/ibiza can be improved dramatically to the extent that there is no real winner between the two.

I went from a saxo VTS to an ibiza with the mods above and I havent looked back.

The real question is whether you can handle having backseats that only hold dwarfs?
