problems problems problems

hi, im new on here and am in a bit of mess! I recently ended up with an ibiza cupra R 2001, I took it as a p/x and dont really know much about them but the looks took my fancy, although the car has a few problems, i am after any advice or where to start with the following 'issues'
EPC and engine management light on.

neither electric windows work, though the passenger side is a little tempramental.

car occasionally will not boost (possibly safe mode?)

radiator fan sticks on for ages and ages even when the engine is cold

another disturbing thing is i found a few spare valve/ soleniod things in the boot, what does this n75 thingy look like??? thanks in advance for any help

you sure its the fan? these cars have a secondary water pump to cool the turbo when turned off!

as for the windows, that's a common issue. usually need to replace the window regulator

Or window switches as water corrodes the contacts,

assuming the solenoid things would be coilpacks also quite a common thing to go.

Get it vagcom'd (diagnostics) to see where the boost problem is coming from.

if they ahve replaced the n75 valve with a different type, then it could be overboosting.. putting your car into limp mode.
the valve should be black. if its a brownish colour, then its a different one

Or post up the part numbers of all four (quite a bit of cash all together lol). We can then confirm which is what.

Your best bet is to get it on vagcom, to scan the car for fault codes. Else its just guessing.
You can get this done by a garage but they charge the big bucks. Or ask nicely if another forum member near you will scan the car for you.

Safe mode, or limp what we call it can be caused by many things.
