MK2 Golf Front Lower Strut Brace 1.4 OWNERS!

Does anyone know if this will fit a 1.4s, i know they fit cupra's but the cat on the 1.4 looks like it would foul the brace between the wishbones.

Done a search and can't really find anything.

Cheers.

If the exhaust manifold is on the front of the engine bay on a 1.4 then I very much doubt it for that very reason

well it fits on a 1.6 fine, it mounts just behind the bottom of the gearbox, if you've got a splash gaurd underneath, pop it off and you should see two 18mm head bolts, thats were it attaches too. hope this helps mate

Does it. Where abouts is the exhaust manifold and the cat on the 1.6 is it towards the radiator or the baulkhead?

i think its towards the bulkhead, cant really remember the last time i was under there, but i know the strut brace definitely fits underneath, as it attaches to the wishbones, there only 25 quid, and if it doesnt fit, just pop it on here for sale, im sure someone will buy it hope that helps mate
