Exclamation Closer look at the DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER

Just in case you've never really seen one before - here's a labelled pic of the expensive piece of exhaust pipe as fitted to the PD170 FRs, known as a D.P.F or diesel particulate filter.

The labels are as follows:

RED ARROWS:

1. The end which is bolted directly to your turbo
2. The downflow to the rest of the exhaust

BLUE ARROWS:

1. Exhaust pressure sensor
2. Exhaust temp sensor (no2 in the dpf, upper bank)
3. Diesel lambda probe!!!
4. Bank 1&2 exhaust pressure sensor feeds (before and after the dpf)
5. Exhaust pressure sensor (no3 in the dpf, lower bank)
6. DPF main body

7. No1 exhaust temp sesor is fitted inside the exhaust manifold.
