I hear spacers on the front will screw up the handling and give you uneven tyre wear not worth it IMO

I've got some Eibach 15mm spacers, longer wheel bolts and McGuard locking bolts all to go on the rear of my cupra this weekend (along with some other bits).... can't wait to get it all fitted and sorted now!

Rear or front ones? I don't think many if not anyone with a mk4 has front ones for the reasons I said I guess and maybe more reasons. But the rears make the wheel look less lost in the arch obviously and make the car handle better but tbh I noticed no difference in handling!

.I'll second your thoughts here Aimez. Also the fact that using ordinary spacers takes a fair amount of the load bearing away from the actual hub, possibly ending up in some drivetrain failure - Not Good !Phil P.S. Aimez, are you still at Awesome? If so, any chance of an extra-special deal on a Whiteline rear ARB for my mk4? Sorry Aimez, I think I'm getting you confused with Awesome Sarah......doh!! I'm a returning forum user from a year or two ago and just got a bit muddled? Last edited by Phil MC; 23-10-2009 at 07:21. |
