Hi everyone!

Basically my central locking stopped working a few days ago :( The LED light on the fob still flashes so im assuming the battery is still working. I've been through some threads already about re-programming but it hasnt worked [:@].

Any ideas??

Thanks:)

do the doors lock ok manually firstly ?

then either test/change the batteries anyway as the light (led) will light even with next to no voltage at all in there

just some hope and mojo from it being 99% of the time batteries / coding / remote only

if that helps :) :)

oooh forgot to add

if you can measure em, make sure batteries are over 2.95v each as they are usually pretty useless under that

bugger - got a mate with similar car ? as the remotes are 'brain dead' until you code them to a car so you can code them back 'n' forth all day long

how are you recoding it ? worth trying a few times or swap buttons over too

Key coding
1 ignition on to red lights on dash
2 turn off immediately and pull key out
3 hold 1 of the buttons down (dont matter which)
4 PRESS the other 3 times ( with a SLIGHT pause) 1 . 2 . 3
5 watch led on key (should flash) and doors usually try lock/unlock
6 turn ignition key back on to red lights and wait 5 sec
7 key out again and test operation

mk2's had the pump in the OSR 1/4 panel as they were air operated

mk3's are electronic so the control unit under the dash runs motors on each door/flap/gate
