Towing with my Cupra?
Hi,
After a bit of advice, I have just bought a folding camper (I know I'm getting old!) with a braked towing weight of 750kg, and am thinking of doing the ultimate sin and fitting a tow bar to my 2004 cupra 180. My concern is that obviously the gearing on the cupra is set for speed and not torque for towing. Does anyone have any experience of towing anything of that weight with their cupra and if so how does it handle it? and what does it do to the fuel consumption!  All advice appreciated! If it's no good it will have to go!  Thanks Rob. |
