15" wheels for Santa Pod use?

Afternoon all,

My mate has a spare set of 15" wheels with Toyo R888's and T1R's fitted to them.

Firstly, will 15s fit over standard brakes?

Secondly, will i benefit from running a smaller tyre, 195/50/R15 as opposed to 205/40/R17?

My current wheels are RS4 reps - 205/40/R17 and i have some crap budget tyres fitted.

My best 1/4 time is 14.1 using these same crap tyres.

Will i benefit from using the 15s with good rubber?

Cheers.

Shouldn't have traction control when going up the strip anyway. In any racing circumstances even.

You can get calculators to see how much different the sizes will be if you search google.

You may see a difference. 16s are best though I would say for a good compromise. Others won't agree as I know a few that run 15s. I have considered it myself but managed to get a good deal on some 16s.

I would go for it bud. They should fit over standard brakes as long as the offset is the same.
