What a waste of a decent car.

think about another way though- he's taken the guts out a 80k car and fitted em in a 20k shape car and adapted and customised it to his ideal

then again it's alright to take a 20vt Cupra and gut it to put in a mk2 ? or gut a R32 to put in a mk1 Golf ?

i call it hypocritical jealousy to be honest just because of the higher values

for all we know the lambo was subject to a fraud or drugs case and ordered to be destroyed anyway you know how crazy the yanks can get at times

Why do that though? If he fancied a change, surely selling the lambo and buying a real mustang would actually leave him with a bit of money in his pocket? This way he's destroyed all value in the car, created a mutant car that isn't mustang and isn't Lamborghini, and while I appreciate the work, it just seems completely pointless.

You've got a very good point there. But putting an R32 engine in a Mark 1 golf is an upgrade, whereas the mustangs are fairly quick as standard. I see it as being more like having a 20vt Cupra and fitting the Impreza WRX engine in there.

Actually, no. I think it's the other way round. It's like taking a really nice Cupra, chopping it up and squeezing it into a Riceboy Impreza. So instead of having a really quick car that's a bit special, you've got a really quick car that most local chavs have picked up for next to nothing.

To all of the above. To be fair, if you have the money, that looks like a nice little experiment. They've managed to keep the whole Mustang shape apart from the rear, which I am not keen on and personally would have kept the OE one.

as i said above it could have been a car subject to a court disposal order so was heading for a crusher in which case i applaud him for saving it's heart and soul

i like the idea and yes i know a mustang isn't a run of the mill car but then in the states they are common muck material and yes you could spend all that money and rousch one up or big block and supercharge one and get obscene power but then why follow the trend and do what everyone else is doing ?

in principle i agree with it being a waste of a seemingly good + great car and a lot of cash do make something 'silly' but as it is to such an extreme i can't believe there isn't a reason behind it so it gets my thumbs up for sure - fair play to him

if were all the same and no one ever did anything unique we would all be bored cavemen

as much as a fan of a Ford V8's that i am i would still consider a lambo motor as an upgrade to be honest

gotta be better than droppn a ch*vy block in it

wonder if can i have what's left of the lambo ?

I like it too, most of all because it's two fingers up to the establishment

You should have heard the crying from die hard S2000 fans when one of the Americans shoehorned a 5.3V8 under the bonnet.

From the outside you see nothing unusual

With the bonnet open, something is clearly different/

Always good to see something different and being honest, if any of us had the skill / space / money to do whatever we wanted then we would and that's all there is to it.
