Dunno if this is a silly question but ...
Does anybody know if the 1.8 20v turbo from a "p" reg Audi A4 would fit into a mk2?
i ask coz i got offered one today and started wondering!

It will do but needs work and by the time you've finished you might as well have bought a MK3

everythings different on the a4 and passat 20vt's. would need to change almost everything

I know there is something different between the Audi 1.8T's and the VW/Seat ones but i cant for the life of me remember what
Assuming that its an AEB engine code it's a longitudinal 1.8T rather than the transverse ones (AUQ/BAM/AYP) that'll bolt straight on to your existing engine mounts. As such, find one from pretty much anything other than an A4 :P
