A/C symbol on display panel is flashing????

Right chaps a quick question.

My newly aquired mk3 Ibiza cupra's A/C light (after I press the button to switch it on) flashes rather than staying on constantly. I have looked in the manual and cant find an answer. I know that under 5 degrees the A/C will automatically shut off but do not understand why it flashes??

Help anyone?

Regards

Ben

Dont think anyone actually knows. Some people say it's goosed and others say it needs a re-fill.

Mine does it but the AC seemed to work ok.

I was led to believe that it flashes due to being empty.

it flashes when the pump wont work, ie when its too cold or if there is no pressure for it to work ( needs re-gassing)
