No, that module has nothing to do with how the engines starts or runs, as the title says, its for the automatic heating and cooling - ie AIR CON. These flap motor failures are typical of all VAG cars, but maybe try resetting all the motors by running basic settings using VAG-COM.

Which engine has your car got, if its a 1.2 then it might need the static timing checked, or maybe its only the engine coolant temperature sensor that needs replacing - it will not show up as a failure in VAG-COM until it falls outwith expected parameters - but if it is not as intended then it might cause cold starting problems.

Thats for the reply Rum and the advice.
It is indead a little 3 pot 1.2l engine which i have. If it is the temperature sesnsor that is corsing the truble, do you now where about i could find it?
How would the air con affect how the car would start also.

Another example today when it was tryed to start the car this morning it wouldn't. this was about 7am. Tryed 6 time. The car turned over but did not fire. Found another method to get to work, but when geting back home tryed it agane and started first time. Its almost as if it dosent like the cold morings but hoter afternoons, lol
