1999 Seat Ibiza 2.0L 16v Gti Cupra Sport suspension lowering

Has anyone got any advice on what i should use to lower my seat ibiza (1999 16v Cupra sport). On my previous car (seat ibiza 1.4) i used PI springs and dropped the car approx 40mm. However, ive been advised on never to use springs as they damage the standard dampers. Is this correct? If so what make of suspension should i go 4?Im not wanting to pay way to much for this as they will also have to be fitted, and afterall im not goin to race the car professionally. Cheers

Well worth considering the H&R Cup kit. Plenty of previous happy runners.

Speak to Gti 16v , he's found a good deal on Coilovers.

Also , Banshee motorsport do KW Suspension for £293 (inc VAT) which is also well received. Mine was on order but had to cancel due to being made redundant at the end of this month . Still... i should have a new job by then ... never one to despair

I am looking into getting a G&M Coilover kit, well sort of its only height adjustable and £428 from Elite, Spoke to Dubsport and they seem to rate the kit and Elite seem to think there good especialy for the price.
