Jonny's mk4 Ibiza Tdi Sport (PD130)

Heres an up to date low down of where my car have come from in the last 4 months. Bought from a guy in coventry


Well... finally sold the polo after months and months of consideration.

Main reason for selling is my job. I cover various construction sites over scotland and the amount of driving I am doing, it just isn't economical to do in a 1300cc polo on coilovers plus it wasn't too comfy! I was gutted to see it cos i loved the wee thing but I had it for 3 years and it done very well for an auction car. lol

So, I decided to get a seat ibiza tdi sport (pd 130). Was originally looking at a yellow one but then found this in coventry with a few extras, less miles and a better colour. lol.

Forge Pipework
Cupra top boost pipe with tap for boost gauge.
Re-torque remap (with custom EGR bypass in map and pd160 intake)

Suspension and Chasis

17'' Leon FR alloys (powdercoated titanium).
Yoko prada spec2 tyres
Lower 50 mm on vmaxx springs and fk shocks
Shorter fk tie bars
Seat sport strut brace
cupra bushes all round

Exterior

face lift front bumper with fr grills
Yellow laminx on fogs
cupra rear bumper
cupra back box
6k HIDs

Interior

Flip key
Cupra handbrake
Cupra gear stick and gaitor

Apline cd player

All speakers upgraded to apline units.

Just grabbed a few pics last night as i want some pics before i put the new bumpers on. :wink:

had to do a site inspection today (high level stone cleaning).

So after it I decided to give the car a clean in the basement car park of the office using my dirt worker.

The car was polished with autoglym SRP (1 coat) and collinite wax (2 coats) last week so this wasn't a full detail.

Then washed with 2 BM method using CG maxi suds 2.

Detailing tool bag. lol (loaded with dodo juice, collinite and a lot of microfibres)

was then dried using a megs water magnet drying towel.



A few interior shots (news mod : cupra gear knob and gaitor)




The car was then misted with a coat of dodo juice tropical red mist.



Windows polished with AG window polish.

Well, got the new bumpers and exhaust on for UD. (thanks graeme for the late night help!) Really happy with them.

All genuine vag parts used including brand new cupra back box.

Again gave the car another quick clean in the basement of the office (it's ideal with the weather we are having! :rthumb: )

Please note that the HIDS are 6k's but see to come up blue in any photos (they look white in real life)

Just need to get a set of facelift fog lights. :bang:

Now finally got a set of front fog lights on. also laminx'd them with yellow film.


At the hotel on the saturday get the car washed ready for the show.

Will get a proper photoshoot done soon. Wheels were refurb'd in titanium.

Having as much fun as you can in a FWD in the snow. Excessive handbraking!!

Yeah, it is mate. Previous owner fitted it. Connected to the lights so only comes on with the rest of the dial lights.

It's just a wee strip of 4 red led lights stuck to the underside of the centre section.

Adam: Yeah, will be doing the lower front lip black. Just need to order more vinyl as it took me 2 attempts to get my recess right. lol.

rf860: Nah, it's wishaw/bogside Verve. Car was on the DC stand for DC 10.5.

Jamie: LaminX yellow film. Dead easy to fit and pretty cheap.

As for future plans i'm thinking:

AP coilovers
RARB
Cupra front bumper
FMIC
TT Front Brakes.

Those are the 5 main things i want to get done next year.
