Massive footers on replies get on my nerves!!

This is probably the wrong subject area but.....

Why o why do people have such big footers with pictures etc when they post threads? I think it really breaks up the viewing of a thread when there's more footer info than the actual replys. Things like Scoobynet is a good example of how it should be.

If I had my way, I'd ban them all or just allow a 2 of three line text footer.

What do other people think?

Or alternatively you can turn them off from the USER Control Panel.

goto USER CP

goto EDIT OPTIONS

scroll down to
Show user's signatures in their posts?

click NO

Then you wont see them anymore.

But it has been said before i do think some of the signatures could go on a diet, but id rather it be self legislated than me banning them, as a user you have the choice to view them or not.

Some time back they did go on a diet as Z pointed out. Do use dial-up? I guess it could be an issue with low bandwidths, but we live in a modern age ...

Cheers

Dor (with less pictures than before)
