Here she is: TDI Cupra Black Magic

Pure standard. 54k on the clock, 17" alloys.

Mods so far (after 3 weeks of owning her)

- SEAT windscreen transfer

- Sony sound system - 6 cd changer and head unit 4x50 watt output

- Chrome Reg. plate surrounds

Mods to come

- Wheel Spacers - 15mm on back, 10mm on front

- Seat red seatbelt coevers - just nice touch

- Seat mudflaps (black with red lettering - have this whole red/black theme goin on!!

De-cat, air flow, egr and then a remap

Mostly visual mods as you can see. I'm Irish by the way so had to get the car registered in Ireland, along with new reg. plates and numbers. (€1,350)

fair play to everyone for keeping this savage site going - what a car, ok they have their weak points but we can work it! The irish spec car I had before (1.4 leon stella) adhered to Irish Import laws - no elec windows in back due to kids injuring themselves, no air con etc. So I am busting the cupra tdi groove over here! there's two black and one red cupra r 1.8's in my town - pure beauties!!

Anyway, I have got a driving lesson now - and a test soon - yes it will be done in a cupra - now that must be a first for Ireland! (passed it too, he never lifted a finger!)

They are these waterproof seatcovers ment for tradesmen etc! I thought they looked great, they are black with a different colour 'hood', that's the red part. I got a set for my mam for xmas for her Isuzu D-Max which is blue and silver so got her the black with blue hood, again looks great!

The guy I bought them off in Planet Auto can't keep enough of them in the shop!

Thanks for all the compliments, you all are making her blush!

Here's a pic of my 1st Lezzy

I got her off a friend who told me one night 4 years ago that he had bought an A4 Audi and that she was up for sale. 2001 1.4 dohc 16v stella with 54k on the clock.

I bought her off him for €3,750 and when I sold her 3 years later she lost just €500 a year bringing the price down €2,250 @73k miles.

The things I liked about it

Sound sytem - 200 watt standard and 6 cd changer (i upgraded to sony system but kept the speakers)

The sort of droney dump valve sound you hear in the air intake after reving

The interior - i put black seat covers front and back - made it look very nice and dark

She started me off with leons, me 2004 tdi cupra has 62k miles on her so i'm gonna keep her for a long time, as I prefer this model to the newer, epsecially the interior and how it looks wider and broader.

Mind showing a pic of your rear flaps!? They look different to the normal seat ones, more square.

Nice looking motor btw. Calipers look nice and shiny!

Hi I actually took them off as I damaged one reversing back.

But here's a pic of them on my old Leon:

Nightime pic - thought it would have red back light as I followed a guide on SCN but I'm still happy enough with it.

Pillar pod is on the way from nomadracing.com

The turbo boosts to 22psi at peak which I think is about right. I went over all intercooler pipe connections to make sure they're sealing with cable ties and I tied them good! Made no change so must have been good, well made .5psi change!

The gauge is juttering when I come off revs, say in 4th or 5th and am coasting so I fitted in a little metal cone with a tiny hole in it that was in the original t-piece but no difference. I'll sort this in time.

EGR - I took off the vacuum pipe and plugged it with a short bolt, car seems to be a little less smokey, but is still too smoky since decat.

I put the mudflaps back on. One is a little crooked coz I damaged the arch when the mudflap was pushed into the wheel when reversing and not seing a bluddy sleeper!

But it should keep her a little cleaner.

They are available in most car product shops over in Éire here for €10 for 2.

Led foglamps

Popped onto Ebay and got myself LED foglamps from aceparts

I hear the blueish colour will whiten up over the next few times they are used.

They look bright here but they aren't at all. I never use fogs so thought I'd turn them into sidelights.
