Anyone know anywhere to get a gear gaiter to match the Cupra handbrake, just black with red stitching? Priced original SEAT one but they're about 55 quid! Oh & anyone know how to get the gear knob off? lol

Try PM'ing Maverick08, he managed to get a leather gaitor with red stitching made up by an eBay seller for less than a tenner I think. In pictures it looks just as good as the real thing, I should know, I've got the real thing!

To get the gearknob off, you first need to remove the chrome/aluminium/black plastic surrounds in front of and behind the gearknob. Then pull the gaiter upwards so it is inside out, you'll then see a clip holding the gearknob and gaiter together. Prise it apart with a flat blade screw driver and Bob's your Mother's brother! :)

As Killie said, thers an ebay seller "topgaiters" they will make up any gaiter/stitch colour combination...

Here's the one I got, and I left a note so that it was black leather with red stitch...

Cheers lad. Looks well. Suprised how much the red stitching in the handbrake cover brigthened the interior so just wanted to get the gear gaiter too. How do you leave a note when buying something on ebay? Bought something else while back & never saw a space for a note so ended up having to email them..

Yea it deffo looks the part with the handbrake cover.

Honestly cant remember.. I think that ya have 2 wait till they send u an invoice maybe.. I'd say if u send them a message before though and ask for it, then they'll know wht to do.. theyre really good too, sent me a wrong one out 1st time, but sent a new one out straight away when they realised!

Just go to the bit where it says ask seller a question. They're sound enough anyway, I was told a golf one fitted and ordered that but it didn't fit so they took it back and sent a new one. Paid postage and everything. Definitely recommend them.

Simple answer is no. They never bothered replying to either of my 2 emails. Might just order the black one & send an email saying i want red stitching, see what happens..
