Changing from PD130 to petrol Cupra

Hi guys,

As title - I'm thinking of changing from my Sport PD130 to a Cupra 20vt - has anyone done this before?

Main concern is performance - is there much of a difference between a Stage 1 PD130 and Stage 1 Cupra?

Fuel economy is obviously a thought - but TBH I'm only doing about 8000 miles a year now which are mainly short trips so Im getting poor MPG with the diesel so thats my reason for wanting to change.

Thanks,

Chris

stage 1 petrol cupra is substantially faster then a stage 1 PD130.

As for economy I get between 260 - 300 miles to a tank - mixture of steady and spirited driving. which isnt many mpg.

im sure it will be a different type of fast...perhaps the petrol will have more instanteanous acceleration

my stage 1 pd130 FR...is at about 180bhp RR on p-torque rollers but now have miltek full system.

Standard 1.8 T Cupra is 180 but will prob be more standard.....

as you say mpg doesnt seem to be an issue with you, so enjoy it!

I went from a 180bhp 310ftlb PD130 Fabia vRS to my Cupra. Cupra was standard bar catback exhaust and Split-R engine wise, but the Cupra felt quicker tbh.

Get the Cupra to stage 2, then you'll know there's a difference lol
