Vag com

Just a few question about vag com if anyone can help.

- where's the best place to buy it from?
- how much is it?
- is it worth it?
- where do you plug it in?

Thanks in advance...
Craig.

I bought a cheap version off ebay. Came with a cable and the free version of the software (so it only lets you do a limited number of things.) You can still run logs and check for fault codes so its all good as that is what I bought it for mainly.

It plugs in to the OBD port in the fuse box

The Ross tech one seems to do the most but it not cheap ( around £270 )

With stealers charging up to £50 just to plug in and tell you whats wrong it could be money well spent.

For the MK4 Ibiza you could get away with the normal USB cable.
For the MK5 Ibiza you really want the USB HEX + CAN version for full functionality.

Have a look on the VAG COM & diagnostics threads - http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=104
