Is this oil any good?

I usually get my oil from yourselves, but I visited my local motor-factors today to find they were selling this for £3.99;

It was flying off the shelf, so I found myself buying 25Litres off the stuff.

I know its old oil (I did ask but they didn't know - supposedly found it in their warehouse.)

Due to the age of the stuff and the grade - I wouldn't use it in my daily drive, but I have a track car which is a 2001 Fiesta 1.6 - would it be ok for use in that?

If its a load of rubbish ill use it as flushing oil! - Many thanks.

It's a good oil, but too thick for the Fiesta, a good 5w-40 is better for that. Put it on Ebay, you'll make a good profit I think. I sold some old stock of Mobil on there and some of it went for more than what the new stuff costs on our site.

Cheers

Tim

Thanks, I thought as much to be honest - I'm guessing the oil is from around 1997 - 2000.
Will it be usable after all these years, or does it degrade?

I probably will throw it on ebay - Halfrauds sell it for £16 per litre (although im guessing the blend has probably changed a lot)

I don't think the oil has changed massively and it's been discontinued now anyway. As it's been kept sealed, it should be absolutely fine to use.

Cheers
