So I thought I may as well start one of these as I dont want to do catch up when there are too many mods to list on the car!

So I got this car for my birthday, its a black formula sport 57 plate bought from the dealer.

Im still learning in this car (only been 17 for 3 weeks) so havnt really been able to test what it can do. Just past my theory so hopefully will get the practical booked soon.

So this is this day I got it:

I then was really clever and hit a diversion sign, (it was infront of a junction and didnt realise it was there as I was looking left and right) I was kinda lucky as it just fell into the hedge, it didnt go onto my bonnet which would of been a disaster! So this is the damage caused by that incident:

And then today I fixed that up with a bit of this:

Which did a great job:

Do I need to replace my disc? They dont look too healthy! Will the dealer cover this as I have a 6 month warranty?

Also, How do I take out the front grill? I can take out the pins, but then the grill just dosnt want to budge! Want to spray it black.

Got some LED side lights on the way as well.

Cheers for looking,

Jamie.

Looks a nice first car. The rear disks corroding is a common problem with the ibiza unfortunately, i'd try and get the dealer to sort them first tbh, they should'nt have sold the car like that in the first place.

As rf860 said on the discs really,

The upper grille once you remove those pins will pop out, it can be a little tricky as its still a snug fit without them. Some of the lower model ibiza Mk4's and older ones come with a grille that has the black outline, which will be much easier to paint, painting chrome fin ished can be likely to chip.

Alternatively give me a shout and i can give you a hand as i'm in Cornwall and have been running a 1.8turbo Ibiza since may, where abouts you from buddy? Oh and i want your seats badly lol

Yep, i managed to remove it and put 2 layers of grey primer and then a 'gloss black' which turned out to be more matt black! also its now starting to peal :( Is there anywhere I can buy a new debadged grill thats just black? btw im in a village between falmouth and truro.

EDIT: Just looked at your thread, your is very nice :) How did you get your grill so perfect?!

Nice first car! I wouldn't be too enticed to "see what it can do", especially as soon as you've passed (When you do). I've seen too many bad things when people try that and it doesn't end well! One of my mates was in intensive care for rolling his car down an enbankment at the side of a motorway!

It had a MOT when I bought it and they passed it with them like that. But thinking about it, they may of just done that so they dont have to buy new disc!

Ah cool i'm in St Austell. you can get a debadged grille via ebay if you want to for the Mk4 Ibiza. My grille i got a lower spec grille with the plastic surround thats easier to paint and basically took down all the chrome on the S badge with a lot of sanding

Car looks really good :) To be honest the sticker bombing it too much, however it looks good on the glove box handle. My MK4 Ibiza is my first car too :D I'd like to know what you are planning to do.

So the spraying of the grill went totally wrong, its peeling and its horrible! So ordered a black one off ebay which will look alot smarter :)

For plans, I still need to gain ideas ect which is why im on this forum but atm just the usual:

HID lights
20mm spacers on rear
Maybe spray alloys black, not sure!
LCR front lip
Would love to get air but dont think it will be worth the cost
fr exhaust backbox
side strips colour coded

Anyone think of any other cheap easy mods?
