Lookin for a Cupra is there any issues with them also what's the economy like on them?

Have a search around on here - plenty of information available.

Economy depends on how heavy your right foot is. If you drive sensibly and commute on long journeys then you will get more out of a tank than say town driving and ragging it from point to point (short journeys).

One of the main problem with the Cupra is the suspension. Check that all the springs are in tact and there is no noise when going over rough terrain/ground or when turning (bushes, top mount bearings, etc.)

The other main problem is the brakes - they're great when they work and aren't seized. The shims and sliders corrode so have a good check around the brakes.

There are other minor gripes, 2 of which are:

(1) Rear washer pipe popping off in either the boot or under the air filter housing in the engine bay.
(2) Stuck cup holder.

You could add to this list the intercooler pipework - check that all the pipes are securely fastened and there are no splits in the hoses.
