The big day finally came! I said goodbye to my trusty 1.4 and said hello to my new CUPRA!!! :D :D :D

Some of you will know how much I've wanted one, and thanks to a lucky phone call from my local dealer, it somehow happened!

Shes a 59 plate in Emocion Red which goes lovely with all of the black highlights of the Cupra.

I plan to leave her completely standard, apart from maybe the bulbs, because it has more than enough power for me, and i'd rather keep her out of a hedge if you know what I mean!

I've already been more than amazed by the power available, I just can't believe its only a 1.4!!

And I also think the colour for some reason, is one of the rarer to find a Cupra in!

So all in all, pretty happy haha! :D

Heres the departed 'beast' ;)

And here she is! :D :D

Pretty car, what does the induction kit do for you? Did you fit it?

Cheers :). Yeah, very easy to do too. Erm as you can imagine not a great deal, maybe adds an extra 5bhp? 10 if i'm lucky ha. But it does sound beasty compared to the usual whine of a 1.4 :D. Though saying that I have noticed it spins up a lot easier and is quicker off the mark.

Looks good that pal, reminds me of my old 1.4 Sport.

Cheers buddy, I was looking through your thread the other day actually, kinda prompted me to do my own haha. I also had an unfortunate accident with a deer! :|

Looks nice dude. Same as mine but it's galia blue. The old 1.4 is a good little engine. Über reliable and I get 42-46mpg. I even averaged 50.1mpg on a 80 mile journey a couple days ago.

I'm gonna lower mine soon but undecided what to go for. Which springs did you use???

Cheers

Cheers mate! Ahh that is a really nice colour, washes up lovely! Yeah they're not bad are they, I stuck an induction kit on mine and it gave it just that little bit more oomph it was lacking haha :D.

You really should mate, best mod I've done so far! I used Eibach Pro Line, I believe that's the name. Dropped it by 30mm front + back and it sits lovely now :D.

Gonna get some xenon bulbs on it next I think :).

Update

So an update for you on the car. Shes due her MOT and tax next month, which is no biggee, she'll pass lovely I reckon.

One issue I do have however, is shes developed a rather annoying and worrying rattle on the passenger front wheel area. It sounds like it could be suspension/shock BUT i've had the wheel off and had a good fiddle and nothing is loose  a friend who is an amateur mechanic reckons it could be where the cars been lowered, and the shocks havent been changed and as i've hit a bump its broken the shock. I thought that would be unlike;y, but who knows? Anyone know the standard SEAT warranty period?

Shes also going to have her scratches and supermarket war wounds patched up whilst shes there, so i'll become to proud driver of a SEAT Mii for a couple of days, feel that one liter powerrrrr!!!

In terms of future mods, as i've had to put getting a Cupra on the back burner for now, I thought i'd fiddle a little bit ;)

xenon bulbs (sides, main, fogs etc)
refurb alloys (possibly paint?)
Better induction Kit
possibly a remap depending on ££££
Tints! (so called sport tints really are nothing!)

I'll post some pics when I get the Mii, and I might give the refurb of the alloys a go myself with a mate, so i'll let you all know how that goes!!

So a update might be in order.

I did plan to complete a lot of the mods on the car, however due to lucky circumstance i'm now the proud owner of a 59 plate CUPRA!

And all mods will be kept to a minimum haha! :)

She's due a good clean come Saturday, so some shiner pics might come then ;).

Also I've bought a couple of replacement bulbs so ill be getting them fitted too!

I'm also tempted by a rear spoiler, lowering the car and painting the callipers/rims..... maybe a remap ha. So much for my standard plan haha! :| :D
