Yes it opens when reverse is selected. Once I figured out what I needed to make it work it was fairly easy. The worst part was setting it up so it would close after the reverse light was switch off. Also sourcing the parts at reasonable prices to make it fairly cheap.

What is the total cost of this mod if you dont mind me asking?

I bought a used complete boot badge for £30 to play with so I didn't have to keep taking mine on and off. So in total including the boot badge I would say around £95 and that includes a camera as well. Had to make my own wiring loom for it.

In fortunately I never took any pictures as I putting it all together. I could list all the parts.
As I now have my original boot badge I could do another.

A parts list would certainly be a start, what head unit have you got it connected up too?

Some dude on here had done this on his beeza a while back.
Could be mistaken but I think it was a fellow Dutchie.
He had it linked into his RNS510 I think, looked the dog's bollocks

Great mod however forgive the daft question but how come the boot doesnt open once you put it in reverse? I can't recall if there is a soft button under the flap to open the boot....its too cold and too much snow outside to look! lol

Also, a list of parts would be great!

I'll get a parts list sorted shortly.
There is a micro switch behind the badge, when its lifted I made sure it stops just before it makes contact so not to pop the boot. It still works manually as normal.
