What options on Octavia RS?

Ok, out of the following options, which colour, and which options should I choose if I get one??

You can select more than one option, but try selecting only one colour.

Thumbs up

Is there any OEM or aftermarket options on the front grille ~ IMHO it looks really tacky & brings the whole car down.

Other than that.....very nice.

The RS looks absolutely brilliant in black, but from soul destroying personal experience, I couldn't buy another black car again - far too much effort keeping it clean when it got dirty/scratched etc. I have a red one which, fully waxed up also looks the business but I have voted for silver.

Options, cruise and parking sensors, can't see the point of a sunroof personally speaking with climate control.
Cheers.

Thing is with colour, when the dealer asked what colour i'd be looking for my girlfriend said "SILVER" quicker than I could open my mouth....lucky, cos thats the colour i'd have.....Why?

Black: To hard to keep clean, shows up marks
Red: Nice, but I like metallic
Yellow: Again, nice but not sure how it would stand up to 40k miles a year of stone chips

As for sunroof....I know its not needed, but sometimes I prefere fresh summer air..

Gotta be yellow, especially if you are going to replace the front grille or do any styling mods, make it a bit loud.....

..and you should go for the sunroof, I have both and the climate control sensors are down on the lower dash so they don't get confused by having the sunroof open, which is great for hearing the turbo spool up.

If the Octavia is like the Golf, A3 & Leon it will have a sensor in the dash and another in the head lining......you can view the senor readings on the diognostic function on the Climate control on the Leon and A3.

Hi,

Yes indeed you can do the "climate control diagnostics" trick in the octavia, we are still deciphering some of the outputs tho.

Not sure if there is two internal temp sensors, I know of the one on the front (well, two) of the CC unit, but there could well be another.

I've got a list of what number responds to which function....but it for the A3/Leon/Toledo....maybe the same.

What buttons do you press on the Octavia unit, it is the same usit as in my dad's Galaxy, but as yet I haven't found the correct order.....

ummm, I think......

Fan Down + Cold + Econ. Press Red and Blue to display alternative channels, press Econ to exit Diag mode.

Fan Up + Cold + Econ gives another diag mode, not worked out what it is tho, only 15 or so options.

Some of the readings are wrong \ not relelvent for this car, I don't believe anything is 660degrees C immediately after I start the car when it has been outside all night!

Not all are temp settings.... e.g, on the Leon, No. 17 is speed in km/h, No, 27 is RPM (although missing the last 0..(i.e, 1500rpm shows '150'). No. 51 shows engine coolant temp. There is other readings too like Air conditioning compressor speed, pressures etc etc.

Yup, i know, but that is displayed as oC (obviously with the o at the top) so it does think it is a temp.
