Hello,

Had a bad luck today and broke this...

Need help how do I replace this??? I have to replace all of this, how to get them out? It's just necessary to unscrew that bolt on the right?

I already removed, but I am having dificulties finding a replacement...

Two questions, by looking at them can anyone point a difference between one with electrical folding and one without?

also

shortly after 2008 they changed the design, are they compatible?

So far I have not posted to this thread as I do not have any help to give, but, now that I've read this posting, I have bought and used one of these kits, but only to paint PDC ie parking sensors and it worked out very well.

I applied two coats of a suitable primer for my colour (Audi Deep Sea Pearl effect) to give the correct base coat in case that made any difference to the final appearance, followed net day by 2 coats of the colour, followed maybe after 30 minutes by 2 coats of the lacquer.

I suppose as you are also painting a part while it is not fitted to the car, you can take more risks and be able to support that part or parts so that you can spray them indoors away from any dust etc and spray them from all angles.

Edit:- have you checked the price from your local SEAT dealership - or are you only using that ebay listing as a sample of these spray kits that VW Group sell?

Yes, I bought mine from an on line Audi dealership as they were offering discount to members on the Audi forum I am on.

Initially I found these kits on ebay, but with delivery costs from Germany, buying locally from UK made more sense.

Only problem I had was that I could have bought it cheaper if I had contacted another on line Audi parts person!! (who is now linked to this site - my mistake!)

Bought a kit from oscaro.es for 22€ including postage

Its not VW but will do the job I hope.

Regarding the first post they are compatible, mine arrived and ita working ok.

As long as the door looks like this at least... not sure if they are all like this.

Now I just have to paint, didnt install the plastic cap yet waiting for the kit.

If someone is thinking about replacing you probably can reuse and that way dont need to paint but mine broke.

Not knowing what paintshops do, I'd hope that they would only polish new paint to blend the finish in with the surroundings, so maybe wait for a few weeks before polishing it - to allow that paint to harden as you will have air dried it and not oven dried it, though I'm sure your daytime temperatures are a lot higher than my ones are (+16C!!!).
