Fitted Forge 007 - now quieter

I have a cupra with Dynatwist. When running the standard dump valve you could hear the dunp valve passing the air back in through the induction kit. I fitted a Forge 007 yesterday and this sound is pretty much nearly gone. The dunp valve does however have a yellow uprated spring. Anyone know why the noice has quietened? I am not really worried about the noise not occuring, just why it has stopped occuring if you understand what I am saying.

Thanks

My girlfriend just bought a 1.8T Cupra, with a stock DV, it made loads of 'whooshy'ness

Swapped it for a forge DV & it's quieter

So I started prodding the piston on the stock one - it was shot (hence the noise) - so there's nothing wrong

Thanks m0rk. I did test the standard one and it did seem that it was not holding a vacuum like the new forge one was. If I sucked on the dump valve and held my finger over the vaccum pipe the piston still returned.

Thanks again

when we did the ECU i noticed the dump valve was very loud on yours. thats why i suggested it could have been DV when your maf went. sounds like it was just about ready to die anyways

I did have an idea it was not right. To be honest when I fitted the dynatwist the noise it made was a lot more pronounced. Then the extra boost made it louder again and to be honset I didn not know otherwise. Many people on here report a louder sound with the dynatwist and then with the extra boost. I just thought it was pretty normal. It is only just about audible now.
