Blimey, tracking must be out on that one too - look at the way it's crumpled up the white sheet it's been driven over...

Its been available over there for a while. The engine is a 1.4 IIRC and thats because they can't have anything bigger than that i believe (correct me if i'm wrong, it has been known), suppose this is why revo are involved - to gain some more ponies for those that want it. The Revo work is actually done through SEAT too so warranties are still valid!

Aye

Think you can have bigger than a 1400 in greece but you'd be heavily taxed. I think.

I dont like the front spoiler..the ibiza is not a boxy car..it doesnt work. its circular.

I quite like the look of it - not over the top. Just needs some bigger wheels IMO

Yup, some bigger wheels and a bit more rounded bumper/spoiler. The Ibiza's supposed to be round and sexy, not square and boxlike.

Actually you can have all the petrol range...tdi are not allowed in Athens...And no you are not heavily taxed...they changed the legislation...You can have the FR for 13100 pounds and the cupra for 15525 pounds which is almost the same as UK prices ...But then insurance comes cheaper down here

Yeah, unfortunately the Greek politicians... and their big heads believe that the Diesels are highly polluting the environment.. so they are not sold in our market. As a result, the options are either for a 1.2, 1.4, and then the FR and Cupra (all petrols).

However, most prefer the 1.4petrol (around 14,000euros for the Sport version) and this is the reason for this "upgrade"....

The body comes from Autotest, and it is quite decent, although they charge it way high.. Regarding the numbers Revo quotes.. I really wish they were true (especially the torque part)... Nevertheless, especially now that we have a patch for the electronic throttle (electronic add-on circuit accelerating the signals from the throttle).. things are much better..

Thats interesting cos over here we are taxed on CO2 emissions and since diesels generally produce less CO2 than petrols, they (diesels) are in a lower tax bracket. The irony is that diesels produce nasty particulates and probably are more "harmful" than petrol cars. Not that I care - all this environmental tosh that we're constantly being fed is just left wing scare-mongering!!!!!

@the cat...
Do not try to make any sense out of our policies! They were supposed to legalize the sales of Diesel cars in September... and the "big interests" once again halted everything! The actual problem, behind the fascade of the "environmental implications" is that the EU has found out that the Diesel fuel from our refineries is not up to the European Standards. The direct consequence is that we are paying fines, rather than the "honorable oil-related businessmen" investing in their businesses so as to supply decent fuel. If you come here with your beloved Tdi.. most likely you will get your injection system (not to mention the catalyst) destroyed in less than a month!!

@pepz..
You can find the bodykit of the "top gun version" here http://www.autotest.it/index_uk.html
From what i can see they have dealers all around Europe. The photos they have in their website come from the Top Gun version, with the 16inch alloy wheels supplied by the Seat Dealers in Greece. Other than the Bodykit, and the rims, the car comes equipped with BMC's CDA carbon box filter ( http://www.bmcairfilter.it/ ) the REVO ECU software, Seat Sport tapestry (with the aluminum part below the pedals) and a suspension package consisting of Eibach Sport 25mm lowering springs, and Zachs Performance dumpers. As an option one can also get the car with an ICE audio system.
