Dog Guard

Has anyone got a dog/luggage guard fitted to their Altea?

I need to keep the pooch off the seats when my car arrives, and have found the part number for the accessory on the seat website, but haven't yet seen the guard.

So i was wondering if it was a fullheight guard, or just from the top of the seats upwards, and if the "grille" was square mesh or 3 or 4 long bars IYSWIM ?

Thanks

thanks orca - the site you mentioned do nice dog crates, but they are very expensive for crates - the guards are about the same price as the genuine seat part, but i've found an option of the following answer:

about £60 to £80 with a steel frame inside - keeps the dog safe, and can be used outside of the car...... plus with one of these i won't have to keep cleaning dog snot off the back window as she follows the rear wiper blade with her nose !

You don't get this problem with cats.... but I'll take note in case I get a dog in retirement. Their cat carriers fit nicely into the rear buckets seats and the type I got from Auchan have loops on them where the seat belt passes through. If they get taken short they get wet feet or paddle in stuff but least it doesn't get out. Puss #2 pissed in the passenger floor well in a non water proof type of carrier of my old Uno and I never got the smell out. Some lucky person, probably found out that hot days and Uno motoring didn't go together.
