Alloy Sump Guard for Ibiza TDI... Group Buy

Hi everyone...

I'm currently running a Group Buy over on Briskoda.net for a custom designed Alloy Sump Guard for Fabia & Ibiza TDI's.

See my thread here:

http://www.briskoda.net/forums/t3078...group-buy.html

These should come out at about £150 (plus VAT) and will be laser cut and VERY high quality.

The company I'm using make prototype sump guards for VAG (I was put in touch with the company by a top level technical engineer from VAG UK at a recent VW Press Launch day).

I'm planning on going down to this company for a few days in July to get the first one designed and manufactured, after which, they will be able to make them from the template.

As the OEM sump guard (which retails at around £300 inc VAT for the full kit) fits both the Fabia and Ibiza TDI's, I will open this GB up to both forums as I will ensure that the sump guard that I'm having made will fit both 100%.

So, would anyone be interested?

All you lot who've slammed their Ibiza TDI's really should invest! You know it makes sense!

(basically we need a minimum of 10 orders for this to go ahead, and we've currently got 5 on Briskoda!)

If I wasn't watching the pennies I'd be interested, my plastic sump tray has hit numerous bits of debris that I'd have easily cleared in other cars - and mine's not lowered either.

I read this thread on monday and then hit something on tuesday. I saw my local Seat dealer in Cheltenham today and they quoted me £148 for parts and labor to replace the plastic one which is dropping off. Are they only offering half the kit if you say the normal one is £300 + vat?

Am I right in thinking the one's you are having made are going to fit my 2002 130 TDi?

How easy will it be to fit it myself?

Will in need to supply all the extra parts to fit it myself or will you be supplying them with the sump guard?

Thanks.

Hi!

The sump guard will come with all parts for fitting. Any decent garage should be able to fit it without problems.

I'm going down on Monday to have it prototyped on my Fabia.

It should cost about £150 all in.

Let me know asap if you want one.
