10v V5 remap results

I had a remap done yesterday on my 10v V5 at AmD. Ok, it only gained 16 bhp (they quote between 15-20) but I'm pleased with the results and the power is much more on tap. A nice torque increase throughout the rev range. Took it out today and just that bit extra makes all the difference. I'll post up the graphs when I can but for now here's the results summary:

Power was 152.2 bhp @ 5898 rpm, now 168.2 bhp @ 5862 rpm.

Torque was 159.7 lb ft @ 3665 rpm, now 172.5 @ 3250 rpm.

The ambient temperature was 28C. Can anyone tell me if this would have lowered the figures at all? If so, by how much? If anyone else is considering a remap for their 10v I would say go for it (got a bit of a discount as I had a service and MOT done at the same time). I tried to get the graphs up but couldn't earlier, I'll try later.

28 degrees would have lowered your power output a little, not much though. prob less than 5hp on a n/a motor. still a welcome increase!

Thanks Brendy, yes it's still not bad. I still can't get the charts up - trying via photobucket but they either come up too small or they don't load. I'm gonna give up as it's Friday and a cool beers waiting - sometimes my beer-fueled efforts work a bit better!

they were reduced in size mate from something like 3mb to 50kb huuuge shrinkage and if you want them , right click and save as!
it could have been the size of the originals that could have held photobucket uploading them, try it again yourself with these versions and see if it works now.

Looks like it will be nice to drive, peak torque is quite low in the rev range.

Nah, 10 replys at least at first glance makes this look almost like a hot thread (even though just done by the two of us)!

Steve, yes indeed i'm glad it has retained one of the liked characteristics of the 10v - the torque available at low revs. For that reason, although on paper it may not match the performance of a few other motors, the power feels like it's there all the time without having to rev the arse off it. I love giving it that torquey burst when someone pulls over to free up the third lane and the surprised jag owner following closely behind me begins to pedal backwards.

Put up again as linked to a new thread in the Toledo section.
