Yes Yoy Can Get Spare Keys, The Remote Central Locking Ones Are In The Range Of £130, That Includes The Key, The Remote And Coding Upto The Car. A Non Remote Key Works Out To Be About £90

Cheers

If you buy a new key from a Seat dealer, do you still have to take it to a locksmith to be cut? I had to do this on the mk2 Ibiza ,then back to the dealer to have it programmed. What a rigmarole.

it all depends on the type of key itself.

the old style keys come uncut, but the laser cut keys from about '98 onwards should come cut to the vehicles original key number.

buy if it has had a full lock change all round you need the key number to order one

There is a cheaper way if you're not fussed about what manufacturer is on the key...

On eBay, there is a guy that sells genuine VW keys. Buy one for £16.99, and send it to another guy on eBay who cuts blanks by using a photo of your original key. Then go to one of the techies at your local dealer and ask them nicely to program the key for you They'll need your chassis number to get the immobiliser code, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Hi. I am wanting to buy a flip key of Ebay. I need the key number to have it cut. Where do I find it?
There is a plastic tag attached to my spare key with a number on it starting 008VWZ
Is this the key number I need?
